“Hysterically unbelievable and painfully true. Super-hot!” The Hour

TRASH & READY is a word-based multimedia performance project created by Lisa Foad, Hadassah Hill, and Zoe Whittall. This trio of authors and performance artists are taking their show on the road with the WORDWHORE TOUR: a captivating arcade of sex, gender, hysteria, video and confession, lipstick and loudmouths.

Their humorous brand of brash queer femininity confronts issues of sexuality and gender identity with wit and style. Come for the costumes and cleavage, stay for the poignant insight into high femme life.

TRASH AND READY have performed in Toronto at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, in Montreal for Casa del Popolo’s Words and Music series and at Ladyfest Ottawa with the Lesbiennes on Exstacy. They’ve been profiled on CBC radio and have appeared individually on MuchMusic, Bravo’s Book Television and TVO’s Imprint.

Lisa Foad is a journalist and teacher from Toronto currently working on a non-fiction anthology by and about sex workers. Hadassah Hill is a textile artist and acclaimed performance poet originally from New York. Zoe Whittall is the author of a book of poetry called The Best Ten Minutes of Your Life and the editor of Geeks, Misfits and Outlaws. Their work has been widely anthologized in both the U.S. and Canada.

Hamilton: November 7th with Sky Gilbert at the Staircase Café Theatre.
London: November 13th at the Aeilian Hall at 7pm.
